04. Ride – Weather diaries
Ride are back. About 20 years after their break-up, while recording Tarantula, the band finally reunited, releasing an album that was nothing short of a gem.
Reinventing their sound, while at the same time staying true to their sound is not an easy feat, and yet Ride seem to be achieving just that, with an unprecedented ease. In Weather Diaries a long-time fan will identify all the sounds that defined the band back in the 90s, while the new fan will find more modern sounds to identify with.
A complete and satisfying album, Weather Diaries has the ability to move you back and forth in time, while you find yourself swaying to melodic, dreamy and still edgy tunes, and is by now a favorite in this household.
